Disaster Relief

Midwest Food Bank was able to distribute disaster relief to over 20 disaster sites in 2007.

When hurricanes and tornadoes have struck, Midwest Food Bank has been there.  In response to Hurricane Katrina, the first load of food was delivered to Hattiesburg, Mississippi just two days after the disaster struck.

Relief has also been delivered to Mississippi (Biloxi, D'Iberville, Pearlington, and Jackson), Louisiana (La Place, Alexandria, Lake Charles, New Orleans, Baton Rouge), Texas (Beaumont, Pasadena, Lufkin), Florida (Clewiston), and Kansas (Greensburg).

Disaster relief efforts have been conducted with The Salvation Army the American Red Cross. We feel honored to serve those in need with these organizations.
