ISU Volunteers at Bloomington

The staff at the IL State Univ Student Counseling Center spent part of their staff training at the Bloomington warehouse building pre-load pallets to be used for the September Distribution Week.  Due to their efforts they built over 20 pair of pallets getting us past half way to the total sets of pallets required for the week,  Thanks to a great job by all of you!

Booth Brothers Concert Sept 4

The 2014 Booth Brothers concert benefiting Midwest Food Bank will be held on Thursday, September 4, at Calvary Baptist Church in Normal, IL.  The doors will open at 6:00 and the concert will begin at 7:00.   Tickets are $20 & $15 and are on sale now at the Food Bank or by phone, 309 663-5350.

Group needed for May 29

Packing Disaster Boxes

Bloomington Monday Distribution Postponed

Due to the inclement weather, Midwest Food Bank - Bloomington has postponed the Monday, January 6, Distribution until Monday, January 13.  This is only for the Monday Distribution.  As of now, Tuesday - Friday Distribution will be January 7-10. Please watch this space for any further announcements.

Midwest Food Bank Helps Victims of Tornado in Oklahoma

Midwest Food Bank has responded to a request from The Salvation Army and is sending family food boxes to victims of the tornado in Oklahoma.    A family food box contains food and personal care products for a family of four for four or five days.  The first two loads of boxes were delivered Thursday morning with additional loads expected to leave next week.  Each semi trailer holds 750 boxes.  The food bank is …

Local Farmers Step Up to "Meat" Local Needs

McLean County farmers helped raise $1,750 to purchase meat for Midwest Food Bank with a donation drive at Cub Foods March 18-24. The drive generated $1,250 in donations from customers and McLean County Farm Bureau contributed a $500 match.
