New distribution location

Beginning Saturday, March 3, MFB Arizona agencies have another option for distribution: Tucson. Already 18 agencies are taking advantage of this alternate pick-up location.

Like our regular distribution, agencies will place their order using the online menu system. Order will be packaged at our Gilbert location and sent to Tucson ready for pick up. Distributions will be the first and third Saturday of each month.

MFB Arizona is pleased to be able to offer this service. It is our hope to bless the agencies from the south we serve by giving them a shorter distenace to travel.

Volunteers make it possible

Almost everything accomplished at Midwest Food Bank is made possible by dedicated, hard-working volunteers. The Tucson satellite distribution is no exception.

Curt and Caroline Kaufman are leading the Tucson effort. They have been married for 40 years and Curt is a pastor at his church. He volunteered at the Gilbert MFB, including driving a semi of disaster relief from Gilbert to Houston after Hurricane Harvey. Feeling that they were a part of something bigger than themselves, the Kaufmans began asking how they could help in the Tucson area. Those talks led to this new distribution.

Midwest Food Bank relies heavily on volunteer services, allowing us to keep overhead costs low. Do you want to be a part of something bigger than yourself? Contact MFB today and find out which volunteer opportunities suit your schedule, skills and passion. Click here.
