Midwest Food Bank appreciates all donors, young and old. Seeing a young person invest in a charitable mission brings a unique joy.

Seth Conkin of Morton, IL, is just such a young man. At 13, he is the oldest of four, and operates a mowing/landscaping maintenance business with his younger brother. Seth generously donates 20% of his revenue to charity. His dad told him about Midwest Food Bank's efforts to relieve victims of drought and food insecurity in Kenya. Having recently visited there, Seth has a heart to help Africa.

Seth visited Midwest Food Bank Morton on July 2 for a tour. He suggested working through schools to educate young people on the issues of food insecurity and the work of MFB. A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Seth for his generosity and leadership at a young age.
