Central Florida distribution helps MFB reach more people

To serve nonprofit partners in Central Florida, Midwest Food Bank Florida recently held a remote distribution there.

On May 5, volunteers gathered in Lakeland, FL, to fill the vehicles of area partner agencies with food. Ken White, MFB Florida Community Relations Manager, worked with Lakes Church to secure their location as a distribution site.

"We are so excited to receive this food!" said Kay from Combee Connection Ministries. " We can't wait to share the gospel of Jesus Christ as we deliver it door-to-door."

Twenty-five area agencies received about 30,000 pounds of food at this event. MFB Florida plans to continue distributing in Central Florida to expand our footprint as the Lord directs.

"We're thankful to be able to serve partner agencies in this area," said Karl Steidinger, Executive Director of MFB Florida. "And we're grateful to Lakes Church for providing this facility, helping us feed thousands of people."
