Midwest Food Bank of Texas
“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matt: 25:35,40
In May 2018, Midwest Food Bank Texas held its first food distribution from a borrowed warehouse space. With the growing need in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, we moved to a new 35,000 sq. ft. facility in 2021. Today, MFB Texas serves over 100 nonprofit partners by providing bulk food free of charge. These agencies embrace our communities by serving those in need, such as:
- Children.
- Senior citizens.
- Single-parent families.
- Veterans.
We hope to expand our network of food agency partners. You can help. We invite you to help make God’s Kingdom real for all people.
VOLUNTEER
Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization - one of our key strengths. We need prayer warriors, financial backers, skilled labor, less skilled labor, forklift operators, truck drivers, warehouse volunteers, greeters, and especially “I’ll do anything” volunteers. Projects range from single tasks to daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities. For individuals, families, or small groups, you can browse the opportunities below.
Contact us here if you:
- Want to schedule a large group.
- Want to learn about ongoing volunteer opportunities (truck driver, data entry, bookkeeper, front desk receptionist, etc.).
- Want to volunteer to complete community service hours.
