Messages to MFB Pennsylvania from partner nonprofits

Here at Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania, there is a busyness about our work. Volunteers are coming and going and food is getting loaded, prepared, and distributed. In the midst of all this activity, we often receive words of encouragement from food partners and we wanted to share a few as a reminder that God is using each and every person that volunteers in our facility in meaningful ways.

"There is a joy you feel the minute you pull into Midwest Food Bank and not just because of the food we receive that make a tremendous impact on the children we assist," says Christine Drexel, president and founder of Cocoa Packs.  "It's because of the caring way you are treated by those who also lead with love."

"The Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg is so grateful for Midwest Food Bank. During the pandemic we had to find a different way to serve the community due to the social distancing mandates," says Tymia Q. Green, Associate Executive Director, Boy and Girls Club of Harrisburg. "By partnering with MFB we have been given the ability to open a food pantry."

"At Power Packs Project, we always try to source the healthiest food possible for the children and families we serve. By partnering with Midwest Food Bank of Pennsylvania we have more nutritious food options to distribute to families struggling with hunger, at no cost to us," says Brad Peterson, executive director of Power Packs. "This allows us to stretch our donor dollars. We are truly blessed to have Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania working with us to fight food insecurity!"
