What Sets Emmaus House Apart?

Emmaus House's exceptional community spirit and a legacy of over five decades define their work. They love hearing stories from parents who once received support and now bring in their children.

Real Impact

While respecting privacy, Emmaus House has countless stories of transformed lives. One such example is Shermain.

Shermaine, who worked in construction, faced unemployment for several months due to a family tragedy, resulting in an impending eviction notice. With the responsibility of his 5-year-old nephew on the Autism Spectrum and his 6-year-old niece following his sister's passing, he turned to Emmaus House for assistance. Utilizing emergency assistance funds, Emmaus House collaborated with Shermaine's landlords to clear his overdue rent, enabling him and his family to avoid eviction. Since then, Shermaine has secured a new job and regained financial stability, ensuring their continued safe housing.

Midwest Food Bank Partnership

Emmaus House's partnership with Midwest Food Bank Georgia is instrumental. Monthly food distribution from Midwest Food Bank helps nearly 200 neighbors relying on the client choice pantry, expanding food options, and addressing food insecurity.

MFB Georgia is blessed to work with over 200 nonprofit partner agencies. Emmaus House's commitment to the Peoplestown community exemplifies how organizations can make a meaningful impact. They are creating a brighter future for their community.
