MFB Pennsylvania holds inaugural food distribution

Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania introduced itself to the community and volunteers with their first food distribution beginning Saturday, June 20, 2020. During the two-day event the verse from I Peter 4:10 came to life - "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."

Summit International School of Ministry and Times Square Church, Summit Branch partnered with MFB Pennsylvania to assemble 800 food boxes. In total, about 30 volunteers shared their time and talents. The food was given to area agencies and also taken to homeless people without the means for transportation in downtown Harrisburg, PA.

MFB Pennsylvania will continue to build a volunteer base and partner with area agencies that serve the food insecure. "We ask for your prayers as we begin to build our warehouse so that we can fill tables across our state with blessings of abundance," says Lori Renne, executive director.
