Sponsors, volunteers make the MFB Florida fundraiser a success

Like many other businesses and nonprofits, the Covid pandemic brought MFB Florida into uncharted waters. We needed to adapt our annual fundraising efforts to a hybrid model that ensured safety and success for all.

Our two-part effort consisted of a 3-day Virtual Auction with over 80 unique items to suit all budgets and interests. There was something for everyone from boat trips, hunting experiences, and luxury vacation rentals to designer bags, jewelry, and local restaurant and spa gift certificates.

The second part was a drive-thru carryout dinner. Ticket holders received a gourmet, 3-course locally catered meal - pear salad, prime rib with potatoes and green beans, and a delicious dessert assortment. On Saturday, February 20, ticket holders drove through the MFB Florida warehouse to pick up their meal while enjoying a visual tour of our mission efforts.

This year's hybrid fundraiser was a great success. We saw many familiar faces, but also many new faces learning about MFB FloridaWe thank a dedicated team of volunteers, donors, local media, and community supporters for their commitment to our mission. MFB Florida also extends our sincere thanks to the following sponsors:

Gunterberg Foundation

United Way

Melvin Baum Foundation

Busey Bank

Molina Healthcare

Gulf Coast Thermo King

Palm Printing
