Cultivate Goodness blesses Midwest Food Bank Arizona

A couple of years ago, friends Kelly and Carrie started hosting potluck lunch dates and invited other service-minded women to attend. They wanted to learn how they could help people in their own community and then take action on what they learned. The result was Cultivate Goodness, a nonprofit organization that seeks out needs in the community and helps others to get involved.

Midwest Food Bank is one of the many organizations that have benefitted from those potluck lunch discussions. Kelly and Carrie, and those involved in Cultivate Goodness, now volunteer every Tuesday at Midwest Food Bank. They not only serve at MFB but also share with others in their friend group and beyond what volunteer opportunities are available through MFB.

"It just takes a minute to be kind to somebody, and maybe that could be the thing to change their whole day," says Kelly, raised in a service-oriented family. "People are so ready and willing to do good."

Groups like Cultivate Goodness are key to the day-to-day operations at Midwest Food Bank. To schedule a time to volunteer as an individual or a group, click here. There really is a task for everyone, and we can help you get started today.
