The "core" of Midwest Food Bank Georgia

Our staff of 5 employees could not operate a multi-million dollar distribution center without the help of a very special group of volunteers we call "The Core". They fulfill the tasks of an office administrators, an inventory team, an IT department, a cleaning crew, volunteer group leaders, forklift drivers, a facilities maintenance team, landscapers, vehicle mechanics and truck drivers.

Members of "The Core" are here nearly every day, some even working nights and weekends too. They have answered the call to help in Sharing the Blessings. They give their time and talents, and especially their hearts to this ministry. They are family.

If you've ever thought about serving and are wondering what it's like to be part of the MFB volunteer family, here is what some of "The Core" members say about their MFB experience:

"Volunteering at MFB gives me value, purpose, connection and family. I feel like I'm doing what God told me to do" – Karen

"I love the people I get to work with at MFB and the direction of the organization. It's good for me" -- Marsha

"I see God here; I see friends here; I'm supposed to be here." – Terry

"It was God's plan that I volunteer at MFB, he sent me here. I get to see the organizations we serve get the help they need" -- Bob

"I volunteer at MFB because of the ministry, mission, and people. Everyone cares." -- Tim

Our staff is blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people every day.
