Midwest Food Bank welcomes new IT/Executive Director

Midwest Food Bank welcomes Lisa Martin to our family of employees. As the New Executive Director of the Morton location, Lisa will coordinate operations there. Responsibilities include directing warehouse and volunteer activity, community outreach, and overseeing financial and budgetary operations. Additionally, Lisa will serve as IT Director, supporting IT and systems at all MFB locations. Prior to coming to MFB, she worked at Heinold Banwart in East Peoria as an auditor.

It seems a little strange to "welcome" Lisa to Midwest Food Bank, as she has been actively involved in many volunteer capacities since 2004. She began volunteering at MFB's Peoria location, helping during distribution week. Then, Lisa completed a summer internship performing agency audits. These interactions led to a position on the MFB Peoria Advisory Board and the Young Leader Advisory Board.

Lisa has always had a passion for the work done by charitable non-profit organizations. "I am humbled to be a part of the team and excited to see how the Lord works every day at the food bank in miraculous ways," says Lisa. "I love seeing the many dedicated volunteers, serving and giving of their time to help those in need."

Clearly, Lisa enjoys being busy. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends, especially her 13 nieces and nephews.

"We are very excited to have Lisa and her God given talents joining the MFB team," Says Eric Hodel, Midwest Food Bank COO. "As Morton and all of MFB continues to grow, Lisa positions us well to fulfill our mission and also increase or efficient use of technology."

Welcome" to Midwest Food Bank, Lisa!
