MFB values relationship with iDonate

Building relationships and partnerships extend to all aspects of Midwest Food Bank, including the behind-the-scenes vendors. One of our partnerships is the online giving platform iDonate.

"It's evident that iDonate is consistent with the MFB culture," says Jada Hoerr, MFB Chief Resource Officer. "We are a growing organization, and as iDonate continues to have enhancements and new features, we want to be on the leading edge and taking advantage of those benefits."

The convenience of online giving increases for MFB as donors discover they can establish regular giving or give other assets such as stocks or vehicles. But, it goes beyond convenience as MFB wants donors to have the trust and exceptional experience when giving online. iDonate provides that. One of MFB's core values is integrity. We appreciate our relationship with our donors and want them to trust us.

Online giving also creates an immediate option during natural disasters. It allows donors to respond quickly to a need and, in turn, enables MFB to utilize those funds quickly.

Online giving is a growing trend for nonprofits, including Midwest Food Bank. There has been an increase in online donations to MFB in recent years. In 2018, 39% of donations were made online. In 2020, this number had increased to nearly 60% and remained at those levels through 2021.

IDonate recently featured Midwest Food Bank in their industry magazine. That publication is available to view here.
