MFB Peoria receives truck grant

Thanks to funding dollars from Walmart Foundation, Community Foundation of Central IL, and Ameren IL MFB Peoria has a new refrigerated box truck. This truck will replace a well-used, smaller sprinter van used for our daily grocery donation pickups and other refrigerated donations and/or deliveries. Our volunteer box truck drivers travel more than 18,000 miles/year to and from local grocers to collect fresh food donations. These are sorted and distributed to local feeding programs on a daily basis. Having a reliable trucks ensures these food donations can be gathered up all year, rain or shine.

MFB Peoria has a continuing need for local box truck drivers and riders for these regular routes. No special license required. Able-bodied individuals can inquire about driving this new truck by calling/emailing Carrie at 309-691-5270 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
